DTM purchased Royer Microphone
The Recording Studio division has purchased a Royer R-121 microphone from Vintage King Audio. "We've been wanting to add a low noise ribbon microphone for quite some time", said Philip Zanon, responsible for equipment aquisitions, "but didn't know which ones might work well for our banjo and guitar recordings." Thanks to Vintage King Audio several microphones, inlcuding the AEA-84 and Royers R-12, R-122 and R-122V could be tested live at the studio and the decision was made to purchase the R-121 for beeing the mic that worked best on various instruments.
